March 17, 2025 – Tronox Holdings plc, the world's leading integrated manufacturer of titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigments, today announced that as a result of a strategic review of its asset footprint, Tronox has informed its Dutch workforce that it intends to idle 90,000 metric tons per year of TiO2 at its plant in Botlake, the Netherlands.
The site is currently closed due to a power outage that began on March 6, 2025, but is not expected to come back online after consultation with the union.
Tronox estimates that approximately US$130-US$160 million in restructuring and other related charges will be incurred, primarily over the next 18 months.As a result of these anticipated actions, free cash flow is expected to exceed $50 million for the full year 2025.
